Our Dream

One translation of the name Trevathan includes "homestead in a meadow." Another translation is "farm." We discovered this information only after our dreams developed into a plan. We want our homestead to become a small producing farm. We hope to one day offer goat cheese, summertime veggies, bee hive honey, ripened fruit and handmade soaps. We are not looking to become off grid homesteaders, nor do we view homesteading with idealized nostalgia. Our homesteading dream is about balance and pursuit. We hope to balance the economical, ecological and emotional relationships of the farm and the world around us. We plan to pursue the liberties and the freedom, which are the beauty of the American Dream.
